Edward had his game face on. This is what he does when you ask him to smell the flowers. It can entertain adults for hours.

And then he runs.
And runs some more.
I imagine him thinking, "I AM FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" (in Oprah's voice)
Kid loves flowers.
What's not to love really?
Lots of tulips. Tulips are just happy and lovely.
Edward likes to take walks to contemplate future business deals and genius inventions. Like Steve Jobs.
I mean, serious happy times.
But then he discovered the dirt, and he was all, forget flowers and running, I'm going to sift dirt for the rest of the afternoon.
This is a glimpse of the bridge at the Monet House, which was part of an adorable exhibit called Small Houses of Great Artists. I would have been obsessed with this as a child.
For some reason I didn't get a great picture of the front of the house, but here's the back.
And the front. The Suze is in the background. I got lucky to get that picture. Parents were stopping at nothing to get their child in the window. Lots of evil glares and gentle suggestions to their child to push the other kids out of the way.

Edward was sufficiently worn out after this trip. I'm realizing that the job of a toddler parent is to try to find as many ways to wear out your child as possible. This worked.
