Hump-Day Happies: Etsy Prints from Trafalgar's Square

I have been spending a lot of time in the nursery this week.  A lot.  The munchkin is teething and has a cold and has a habit of climbing to a standing position the second he opens his eyes.  It's pretty amazing how quickly he gets up there and I'm pretty sure he's confused about why he's standing once he fully wakes up.

Oh heeeyy Buddy!

Needless to say, lots of late nights rocking and staring at the wall (or my little man who is an adorable mouth-breather at the moment).  One of my favorite elements of the nursery are the baby elephant prints I ordered from Trafalgar's Square on Etsy.

I just think they are so sweet.  I found them long before I was even married.  I remember thinking I would use them in my nursery someday.  It's sort of surreal that "someday" is now.  But really, how sweet is this little guy?

If I ever write a children's book (which I would love to do someday), they would have to be my illustrators.  Note: The Suze only likes children's books with "sweet illustrations."  "Make sure there are sweet pictures and take note of the illustrator," she says.  Perhaps her penchant for aesthetically appealing children's books is why I only like to look at pretty things now.

Anyway, Trafalgar's Square has a number of new prints and characters and they are all so adorable.  Here are some of my favorites:

Wishing On A Star

Baby Mine

A Little Bird Told Me

Keep Rolling

Royal Lion

Royal Sea Turtle

Soaring

They also have Trafalgar's Paper Co, which has notecards, invitations and bookplates.  I think I may use the last image for Edward's first birthday invitation.  His favorite toy is Sophie the Giraffe and he loves anything red so this would be perfect.  I can't believe I'm already thinking about that!

Happy Hump-Day!

Hump-Day Happies: Blue Canton, Hydrangeas & Peonies

Apologies for the graininess of this photo, but it's the only one I have of my little vignette and it was taken using my blackberry's sub-par camera feature.  My husband gave me these peonies for our two year anniversary and I clipped the hydrangeas from our new hydrangea bush.  It's a nice little girly arrangement that makes me happy as I walk into our family room and inevitably step on a musical toy on the floor.  However, one of the peonies suffered at the hands of Edward the Destroyer yesterday.  I was trying to be a nice mommy and let him smell the pretty flowers and in one swipe he knocked all of the petals off of the little pink flower.  So rude of him, I know! Fortunately for him, I find him so delicious and squeezable that I immediately forget any grievances I have against him.

Hump-Day Happies: Claridge & King Button Down

I'm starting a new series called Hump-Day Happies whereby I post something that makes me happy and I think you must have.  It will obviously be a material thing, because as much as I love sunshine, laughter, puppies and baby thighs, y'all want to know about something you can go out and get yourself.  Right? Right. Think of me as Oprah telling you about my favorite things, only I'm not giving you free stuff.

For today's Hump-Day Happy, I give you my favorite Claridge and King His is Hers cotton button down.  The geniuses at Claridge and King took a classic men's button down and tailored it to a woman's body making it narrower at the waist with longer tails.

It comes in blue and white stripe, charcoal gray, light blue, pale pink and white.

The shirt is delivered in an adorable gray and white striped pillowcase with a mother-of-pearl button.  It can even be monogrammed (whoot!)  I wear mine to get ready, over shorts or as a swimsuit cover-up.  I gave them to my bridesmaids to wear when we got ready for the wedding.  I loves it very, very much and would like to order them in every color or receive one for free for my kind words (blue size medium) ... shameless.

Have a happy hump day! The weekend's almost here y'all!
